2000 - Two seen a few hundred yards off the Stone Pier in the afternoon of 30 Oct were amongst over 100 'wrecked' in the Weymouth/Portland area afer a severe SW storm in the early hours. (JS)

2000 - Following SW gales on 30 Oct a large wreck of birds centred on Portland Harbour. A remarkable 12 were seen in Newton's Cove, with three in Weymouth Bay
