JDM records :

2003 : Resident breeding species, with pairs nesting on the Nothe Fort. For the third year running a worrying decline, with much lower numbers in the early part of the year - about half last year's levels - and only a small post-breeding recovery. Max. 63 on 22 Jul. Monthly maxima, with the past three years for comparison:

2002 : Resident breeding species, with pairs nesting on the Nothe Fort. A worrying decline for the second year running, with very much lower numbers in the usual peak of late winter, and no sign of the usual large post-breeding flocks. Max. 86 on 23 Mar. Monthly maxima :
