JDM records:

2003 - A slight improvement on last year. Four bird-days in spring (5 in 2000; 3 in 2001; 1 in 2002) - one on 30 Apr was the earliest ever (JL), with one on 3 May and two on 4 May. Five bird-days in autumn (6 in 2000; 16 in 2001; 5 in 2002) on 3 dates: a single on 25 Aug was followed by two on 28 Aug and 3 Sep. 9 bird-days total.

2002 - A poor year. Just one in spring - on 21 May. Just 5 bird-days in autumn, on 3 dates. 30 Aug - 17 Sep. 6 bird-days total.

2001 - 3 bird-days in spring - one on 2 May and 2 on 14 May. A good autumn, with 16 bird-days, including a remarkable 8 present on 25 Aug. Last on 22 Sep. 19 bird-days total.

2000 - 5 bird-days on 3 dates from 6 - 14 May 2000, max 3 on 14 May. Suspected breeding here or nearby - with a family and 2/3 juvs present 22 July - 7 Aug 2000 (24 bird-days). Then 6 bird-days on 5 dates from 23 Aug to 30 Sep. 34 bird-days total.

1985 - One 9 May 1985; 18 from 10 Sep - 1 Oct 1985. Max 6 on 10 Sep 1985. 19 bird-days total.

1984 - area not watched late spring & early autumn 1984, so no records.

1983 - 9 b/d from 3 May - 24 June 1983; 25 from 23 Aug - 29 Sep 1983. Max 6 on 22 Sep 1983. 34 bird-days total.

1982 - 2 bird-days 25 & 26 May 1982; 25 from 27 Aug - 4 Oct 1982, with record max 10 on 15th Sep 1982. Total 27 bird-days.
