2003 - Following the exceptionally late bird on 31 Dec 2003 singles were reported on 12, 16 and 25 Jan. The first spring record was on 22 Mar, and the last in autumn on 7 Oct. Max 14 on 2 May. Juvs seen from 18 Jul. Monthly maxima as follows :

2002 - Noted from 19 Mar to 7 Oct, without the usual summer break. Singles on 11 & 18 Nov were followed by an exceptionally late bird on 31 Dec - the previous latest was on 27 Dec 1997! Max 30 on 20 Apr - the highest ever spring total. The season was extended, with higher than usual spring nos, but average nos in the autumn. Monthly maxima as follows :
