Rooks on the top lawns - a very unusual sighting on the ground, 2 December 2003

JDM records :

2003 - A similar pattern of records to Jackdaw, but in lower numbers. Just five singles in spring from 22 Mar to 4 May. In autumn a better series of records, with 18 bird-days on 5 dates from 9 Oct to 2 Dec, max 8 on 9 Oct. The three birds on 12 Dec were, remarkably, lingering with the Carrion Crows, and actually landing - the first noted to do so. Total 23 bird-days. (8 in 2000; 5 in 2001; 34 in 2002)
