Compilation of records
2003 - Three together on the south shore on 23 Mar - a personal record max - were followed by records on 4 dates to 18 Nov including two on 13 Sep: a total of 8 bird-days surprisingly lower than 2002. However, the multiple records still indicated the continuing rise of this southern invader.
2002 - As the above benefiting from lack of disturbance, with singles seen on 11 dates, 10 Jan - 17 Sep (8 dates 4 Jul - 17 Sep) - another record year.
2001 - Singles on 14 and 28 Oct , with a two-day stayer feeding on the south rockpools on 9 & 10 Dec.
2000 - Single on 23 Aug followed by another on 18 Oct, with two over on 22 Oct.
1995 - Three records of singles in 1995 with one on 8 Sep, one on 1 Nov and one on 7 Dec (JS).
1970 - A remarkable max 4 on 17 Apr 1970 "on The Nothe foreshore". These were part of a multiple arrival of 7 in the Weymouth/Portland area, subsequently joining another bird on Lodmoor.
