2003 - 37 were counted past the pier in the southerly gales on 2 May - the max count since 1988.Seven W on 4 Nov and two on 2 Dec (DBR).

2002 - An adult in the harbour on 2 Jan; ad. with terns in the bay on 17 May; a 1st-w in the bay on 31 Dec. Dorset Bird Report: one in the gull roost on 1 Feb; two on 10 & 23 Mar; five on 30 Apr; one on 29 Oct; one on 12 Nov; one on 23 Dec.

2001 - Reports from Weymouth Bay - 4 on 17 Jul, 1 on 18 Aug, 2 on 17 Oct, 3 on 1 Dec.

2000 - A flock of 10 going south on 5 Nov, before a storm hit Weymouth.Weymouth Bay - 15+ on 25 Aug.

1998 - 24 in the gull roost on 31 Oct.

1995 - The klondykers attracted up to a max 22 on 19 Feb in Weymouth Bay.

1994 - Around 100 in Weymouth Bay during both winter periods, around the klondykers.

1988 - c 200 in Weymouth Bay, 25 - 28 Sep.

1985 - Singles on 29 Jan & 11 Feb.

1984 - Present continuously 9 Jan - 13 Feb 1984, with 33 on 31 Jan. Single on 5 Nov and 2 on 27 Nov.

1983 - One present off the pier 7 - 17 June, still the only summer record.
