2003 - Noted throughout the year in pretty consistent nos, but with a max of 36 on 18 Nov: the most since New Years Eve 2000, in unremarkable weather conditions. Monthly maxima as follows :

2002 - Noted throughout the year but a noticeable increase in spring and summer, with a max 27 on 30 July. A pair was seen carrying nesting material on 19 May - probably part of the breakwater colony. Monthly maxima as follows :

1997 - Weymouth Bay/Lodmoor : 600+ on 21 and 22 Feb, with 350 still present on 25 Feb.

1995 - Weymouth Bay : up to 550 with the 'klondykers' in Jan/Feb.
