JDM records:

2003 - Just three on 3 May, and one on 20 Sep - 4 bird-days - a very poor year. (28 in 2000; 16 in 2001; 13 in 2002). Hope this decline doesn't continue!

2002 - An average year in spring, but absent in autumn. Spring passage produced 13 bird-days on 8 dates from 20 April (earliest record) - 21 May. Max 3 on 4 & 11 May. None recorded in autumn.

2001 - An average year. Spring passage produced 11 bird-days. Noted on 6 dates from 27 April - 14 May. Max 3 on 28 and 29 Apr. In autumn, 5 bird-days, on 4 dates from 23 Aug to 29 Oct, the latter the latest recorded.

2000 - Excellent spring passage, with 21 bird-days.Noted on 13 dates from 24 April - 13 May 2000, with continuous presence 5-13 May, when a pair was seen displaying and apparently carrying nesting material. However, there was no sign of them after that date. Max 3 on 1 and 6 May. In autumn, 7 bird-days, on 5 dates from 17 Sep to 28 Oct, when max. 3 were present.

1985 - Just three singles, on 1, 9 & 14 May.

1983 - In spring, singles on 4 dates, 28 Apr - 9 May. In autumn singles on 14 Aug, 13 & 22 Sep, with max 2 on 29 Sep. 4 in spring, 5 in autumn - 9 bird-days total.

1982 - One on 14 May.
