2003 -An astonishing record max 61 past the pier in just an hour in the gales of 2 May was followed by the usual series of summer records, on 9 dates from 21 Jun - 22 Sep. Monthly maxima as follows:

2002 - A good year, with more sightings over a longer period. Seen in Weymouth Bay on 15 days from 11 May to 28 Sep, with max 14 on that date. Bird Report gives up to 14 'on many dates'.

2001 - Seen in Weymouth Bay on 7 days from 11 Jun to 27 Jul, with max 4 on 3 July. Earlier dates than last year, and not as many. Bird Report Max 11 on 18 Aug.

2000 - Seen in Weymouth Bay on 10 days from 22 July-28 Sep, with max 6 on 14 Aug. A good showing.

1975 - One ad. past Stone Pier, 26 Jan (DJF). Also several oiled birds recorded from the same time.
