2003 - Resident breeding species, with about 4 singing males through the spring. Numbers were generally lower again - a steady decline in winter and early spring over the past four years - but again there was a good autumn passage, peaking on the late date of 8 Nov when a max 134 counted going over in 2 hours, with large nos of other species. 2002 - Resident breeding species, with up to 5 singing males through the spring. Numbers were generally lower than in both 2000 and 2001, but there was a superb day of autumn passage, with record max 218 counted going over in 2 hours on 11 Oct, with masses of other finches. Monthly maxima :

2001 - Resident breeding species. Juvs noted in summer. Numbers generally lower than in 2000, but more of an autumn passage this year, with max 39 on 27 Oct. Monthly maxima :
