2003 - Breeding resident. Although spring numbers were down, with none of the usual noisy gatherings, numbers surged in November to a record max 42 on 13 Nov, and again on 2 Dec, when they were joined by three Rooks and a Jackdaw. All these birds are attracted by the apparently increasing amounts of food brought by locals to feed both birds and squirrels. Monthly maxima :

2001 - Breeding resident with noisy gatherings. Record max 28 on 27 Oct. At least 2 pairs nested. Juvs seen from 4 June. Summer numbers up on last year, indicating a successful breeding season, but general numbers also up on last year, suggesting that the increase noted over the last 20 years is still continuing.
