2003 - Noted in Weymouth Bay/Newton's Cove to 29 Mar - birds seemed to depart early. Single in Apr (DBR). Max six on 23 Jan (DBR).One on 14 Jun an unusual summer record (DBR). Then from 30 Sep to end of year. Generally lower nos than usual, with max 9 on 27 Nov. One was on the rocks below the fort on 5 & 8 Feb. Monthly maxima as follows :

2002 - Noted in Weymouth Bay/Newton's Cove 5 Jan - 24 May - a longer period than usual in spring. Then from 28 Sep to end of year. Max 10 on 28 Feb. Low numbers in the early part of the year, but better than usual at the end of the year. Two on the rocks below the fort on 22 March were an unusual land record. Monthly maxima as follows :

2001 - Noted 6 Jan - 29 Apr; one on 2 Jun was unusual; then from 26 Aug. Max 13 on 20 Jan. More than last year early on, but unusually low nos during the later part of the year. Monthly maxima as follows :
