Diary 2010 Please note that from 2006 I've moved, and am not able to watch this area on a regular basis. All the past years' reports before 2006 , diaries and lists will still remain online. Click here for Briantspuddle Birding - my garden website ! 8 January 2010: A short afternoon visit to check for cold weather birds was very productive, with the first grounded Lapwings (2 on ground, but more flying over)since 1985!! Also very unusual in January were a few of the masses of Fieldfare and Redwing about in Weymouth at the moment, both in the trees and flying over. I am sure there will be masses of good birds here during this cold snap - perhaps even a first Golden Plover on the ground? For the Annual Report Index - click here!
