Briantspuddle Wildlife

Lying eight miles east of Dorchester, in southern England, and with heathland to the south and north-east, the valley of the River Piddle to the north, and chalk downland beyond the river, the Dorset village of Briantspuddle has more than its fair share of wildlife. Moving into one of its thatched cottages in August 2006, I resolved to keep a record of the birds and other wildlife I saw in and around my own garden, the village, and the parish of Affpuddle and Briantspuddle.
This, then, is a record of wildlife, in a Country Parish in Dorset, England, in the early years of the 21st century.
